Learn new skills and create earrings made to fit your style, with local artist Merry Beth Myrick.
Get comfortable with basic jewelry techniques such as hammering metal, design styles, wire wrapping, embellishments, adding texture, and cold connections. You will use various tools while learning simple tricks that will allow you to create more without blowing your budget. This is guaranteed to be a fun and creative evening!
Cost: $120 with options to upgrade your stones and metal during the class for an additional cost.
Soldering (Ring making):
Learn to manipulate and shape sterling silver by cutting, bending, and soldering. Using the jewelers hand tools, torch, flex shaft, polishing motor and various other tools, you'll leave with a ring that you will be proud to say you made. Through individual instruction and demos, students will learn to make a bezel setting for a stone, filing, forming, soldering, and finishing.
Cost: $175, all materials included.
Enamel is an ancient technique for adding beautiful color to jewelery and other objects by melting glass and fusing it to metal.
